A true purpose-driven entrepreneur, Krystal is fearless when it comes to driving transformational change in the global healthcare landscape. She created a not for profit at the tail end of the Global Financial Crisis and launched a purpose and patient-led health agency during the COVID-19 pandemic, Humanise Health. It’s safe to say, Krystal isn’t afraid of a challenge.

At 14, she started volunteering at the NBCF, at 25 she founded the internationally renowned not-for-profit Pink Hope, and now in her 30s, she is firmly focused on revolutionising the healthcare industry through her new purpose and patient driven agency, Humanise Health.

Considered one of Australia’s most influential philanthropists, Krystal is often referred to as Australia’s ‘Angelina Jolie’ due to the fact she carries the faulty BRCA1 gene that predisposes the carrier to an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer and her unique ability to rally people around issues that matter.

In her mid twenties, Krystal elected to have a preventative double mastectomy in order to reduce her chance of a cancer diagnosis and to be in control of her risk. Realising there was nowhere for women with an increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer to find support, Krystal started Pink Hope from her hospital bed.

A decade on and Pink Hope has grown to be an engaging, global preventative health movement, helping thousands of families to know their risk and change their future.

Since founding Pink Hope, Krystal has continued to work at the forefront of health around the world, collaborating with healthcare providers, government, key media, activists, advocacy organisations and patients.

A strategic and solutions based-entrepreneur, Krystal has never been one to take a traditional approach to problems.

Through Humanise Health, she is now revolutionising the healthcare industry, alongside businesses, by creating new and innovative patient-led strategies and projects to ensure optimal outcomes for consumers and business alike.

She has appeared on national TV and radio, been interviewed in magazines and newspapers, and has been featured as an inspirational speaker at national and international conferences.
